On this particular blog I wish to shed some light on a topic so often talked about in many other blogs, but generally this topic is pushed in the corner fearing the controversial nature of it. Atheism if a topic which I am certain so many are curious about, but fear talking about it, because of reasons like its perception by the society in India, but I guess after each the day the Indian has started becoming more and more liberal and open to newer topics as well as he is accepting different takes on older topics. Today, me and my friend Chintan were totally bored sitting at home, and we decided to meet up just to chat about stuff, which usually won’t make sense to the listener, either because of their sheer stupidity or because of the depths we can take a matter into over time. So, as we started talking over some tea, as a formality we had to discuss what had been going on recently in our lives, n other bullshit. As the talk progressed, we didn’t realized how we started talking about God and the existence of the Holy. We both being atheists had a similar take on it but Chintan proposed a theory of his own, when people talk of god or when its existence is in question the pro-god people often say “then who made all that you see around you? who made humans the ways they are? Who is responsible for the beauty of nature n other beings living as a part of it in perfect harmony?”, to me it all seems that they themselves are uncertain about whudunnit but are not curious about it, as a certain thought has been embedded in their minds that if there is no explanation for something particular then blame it on god (not the right way to put it lol).with respect to all those questions about Creation and its Creator, Chintan let me know what he thought must have happened, human race is not really as old as the other species on this planet, it still is young and has to see a lot of new things in the future, has a lot of scope for evolution, but what has created the perfect organism was something way more intelligent than we can ever think about, even today humans can make artificial organs, or support systems but nothing as sophisticated as a new organism, and this was achieved by someone/thing back then which led to our existence, who had the Nature at its disposal to think of making something so complex like the human brain, and a body that functions perfectly well in response to the brains activities. Now, calling the creators say visitor, E.T.s or whatever cannot be wrong as again it is a theory, the world is based on theories, every religion, sect, cult is based on theories, so I guess we should not hesitate to not only accept it but also to give it a thought. Now, neither him nor me know how it happened, but who can stand up and say that he/she has a proved theory in practice that says it all about the creation. Every theory has a flaw, major or minor. But I guess I have a different view on the general topic of atheism. Let me explain it to you all like a bed time story (lol), a long long time ago there were a lot of people all over the world, not as many as there are today but the world population then. These had formed colonies within themselves, in a way forming different societies, since that time was a technologically backward one, when science did not flourish, people were laid back, they would often procrastinate, they were simpletons, in a ways. Life was not the ideal one, as one would expect it to be, they had fears, fears which today might seem obsolete, but these people found them difficult to deal with, or rather make it impossible, but it’s a human tendency to nurture hope in practically the most hopeless situations, so these people hoped for something that would help them rid these troubles, that something can be referred to as a miracle. To get rid of their troubles periodic natural happenings would take place, like for instance rain fall in a drought ridden area. These happenings were not studied instead, they proved to be a relief factor, as it got rid of their biggest troubles overnight, they thought of it as a miracle, like they had divine intervention, n thought that something up there or somewhere, some mighty being/force/spirit..etc. had the strength to take away all their major issues of an entire colony/ies with ease, that being/force/spirit..etc was given the title of god. And then there were the smarter opportunists who started talking about god, came to their own whacky conclusions, they started sects and declared themselves or were called prophets of the sects, their only aim in life was to let other people know of their god, and that they should understand that there is a power above them.
I feel man should be very proud of himself because his brain and his body together is such a wonderful device, that has shaped whatever we see around us. We enjoy all leisures in life largely because of what man has achieved till today, and what he has in store for the future. It is the same brain, which imagines god, which also imagines things that may sound way absurd today, but might just be the most essential thing every person should have after 10 years. I don’t suggest that man should start treating himself as god, frankly no one is god, you cannot assume anything, anyone, living, dead, imaginary to be god, we should only try to be human n treasure it. It seems stupid to me that people in the name of god, under the context of a festivals, personify commotion and din. This is still better than what extremists and the so called chauvinists of their religions do in the name of god, if that god ever existed, he would be ashamed of all the things that are happening in his name, for every religion I have heard of speaks of peace and harmony.
To end it, I don’t say stop following your faiths, but try giving it a thought and it never hurts to keep practical approach in life, people will consider you a pessimist, but you know what’s right and wrong, as the human brain is capable of speculation, you will end up making the right decisions in your life. Just be yourself, I know this line has become a cliché, but it says it all in a nutshell, don’t let anything govern you, you be your own master but make the wisest decisions, we are humans after all, prove it to the world again that we are the wisest race of beings.

Give it a thought.....
There are tough times we face. I go through a lot of shit almost everyday, mostly related to friends. The typical problem never seem to end, right from gossip about some one asking out someone else to the eventually breakups, and the petty fights over crap never ends. But do people really need a reason?
Every other day I am either witness to or come to know second hand about problems or opinions or misconceptions a particular fellow teenager has, I guess everybody goes through this. But certain events happen that might want to make you get rid of whatever is going on in your life and think outside the box. Recently, say yesterday
I was watching this amazing movie called PRAHAR starring the man NANA PATEKAR
Himself. The movie is worth watching again and again. It is a feast for those who like violence also for those who prefer to take their movie in a more intelligent way. Probably Nana’s best performance till date. Enough about the movie, I was basically tired of a lot of things going on in my private as well as my social life, I just wanted a break. So at almost the end of the movie, there came a crucial scene, probably the most important one of the movie. Nana is shown in the court where he is getting court-martialed
For killing some hooligans who had earlier murdered a soldier and were also a menace to the society. In his defense Nana says (translated)”-we soldiers are sent at the border to protect the civilians from external threats, but the real threat which is far greater than we have ever faced is the one which is internal, and that threat is feasting on our society like termites-”. This although seems like a very well written dialogue but after thinking about it seems it’s as true as it can get. Nana in his speech refers to the hooligans and the related mafias as the threat, now try and relate it to the current scenario India is facing. Isn’t the dialogue too apt, too suitable for the India now? Everyday on the television or through any form of press we see the politicians making a fool out of the common man with every sugarcoated words or theirs, now the political influence has reached such heights that people supporting different political parties are made to fight against each other. This is where it doesn’t remain a contest, it simply crosses the line. Earlier the politicians were discriminating on the grounds of religion, now it has taken an uglier turn, territorial typecasting, courtesy Raj Thackrey and co. But it will be really unfair to just blame him, recently after 26/11(which brought tears to all of our eyes), we all were left under this dark cloud of despair hoping for a ray of light or a silver lining, but fear had struck Mumbai. Terrorists coming in your house and your held hostile or brutally murdered. Was that ever thought of even by the intelligence or the CBI or whoever concerned?
Every one was sad and afraid. The situation was silent but at the same time as intense as it can get. When everything finally got over and the army-men triumphed over the terror, there were instant news flashes and tickers on the screen about chief ministers of different states have issued cash donations for people belonging to their state and were victims of the attack.
Why wasn’t this responsibility or rehabilitating people who have suffered at the hands of terror taken centrally? There were SMSs talking about what did Raj Thackrey do when the terrorists attacked and how his SENA was incompetent of dealing with real problems. Whether true or false , the question I wished to ask was, was it the right time to do politics? There is civilian security at stake and politicians are still hungry for that seat?
The conclusion is really weird, interesting for some , maybe, but all I say is try to think out of the box ,living just within a virtual circle comprising of just your “friends” may seem like the better option, but the lesser the participation in facing the real problem, the bigger the problem becomes. Do it as a society. You will realize the problems you face in day to day life are not even close to what we should be working towards to solve.
